Manchester United have bid £25 million for Barcelona’s star midfielder, Cesc Fabregas.
In a move that has been rumored for a while, the Premier League Champions’ new manager, David Moyes, believes Fabregas will do well at United.
Moyes has said that he would like to address the issue of goal scoring from midfield, and signing someone like Fabregas would be a step in the right direction.
It seems, however, that Fabregas was flabergasted at the news of a possible transfer. The Spanish footballer only joined Barcelona two years ago, after leaving Arsenal where he the Gunners’ captain.
Fabregas’ move to Barcelona in 2011 cost the club a whopping 25.4 million pounds.
The offer from united is reported to be less than Barcelona’s valuation of the 26-year old.
Only time will tell whether Fabregas will stay true to Barca and his native country Spain or whether he will make the move to Old Trafford.
But one thing is for sure though; David Moyes sure knows how to shake things up at United.
